A new Dublin Bus route alignment will come into effect next Sunday, August 23, bringing the Route 24 back onto Beneavin Road in Finglas.
The National Transport Authority has issued a reminder to passengers in Finglas and Glasnevin ahead of the changes, which will be introduced for the first time on August 23.
The NTA is carrying out a targeted leaflet drop to households in the area, while Dublin Bus will provide information on services operating locally. Details of the new route will also be displayed at affected bus stops.

The changes follow a campaign by the Finglas Bus Action Group to restore bus services along Beneavin Road.
The community campaign began following a public meeting held at Shamrock Lodge in Finglas in November 2025, after residents raised concerns about the impact of changes introduced as part of BusConnects.
The changes previously resulted in the removal of Route 9 from Beneavin Road. The service had provided access to three nursing homes and a local school, with concerns raised about the impact on older and more vulnerable residents in the area.
Under the new Route 24 alignment, the northbound service will turn onto Beneavin Road from Ballygall Road East instead of travelling along Beneavin Drive.
The bus will travel the full length of Beneavin Road before turning right onto Glasnevin Avenue.
It will then turn left onto Willow Park Road before rejoining the existing Route 24 towards Dublin Airport.
The southbound service towards Merrion Square will follow the same route in reverse.
The realignment is expected to provide a bus service for hundreds of people living in the surrounding area.
It will also provide direct access to Beneavin De La Salle College and the Beneavin House nursing home complex.
Passengers in the area are being advised to check the information displayed at local stops ahead of the changes coming into effect next Sunday.
