Noel Gallagher has hinted that Oasis could return to the stage for another tour next year.

Gallagher hinted at this during a recent appearance on talkSPORT's Drive, where he mainly discussed his beloved Manchester City's start to the Premier League season under new manager Enzo Maresca.

Speaking on the show, hosted by Andy Golstein and former footballer, Darren Bent, Noel Gallagher also discussed whether his band would be playing more shows next summer, where he said they have “got to do something in the summer”.

“It’s Liam, isn’t it?” Noel joked. “He’s not into it. He’s not into Oasis anymore".

When Golstein pointed out that Liam had recently said that he was leaving social media, Noel replied: “Well, then there must be something happening".

“Let’s put it this way: there’s no football tournament on next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?", he added.

At the time of writing, there was no official announcement regarding any Oasis tour in 2027.

However, last week, former Smiths bandmember and close collaborator of Noel Gallagher's, Johnny Marr has said that his pal is currently "writing songs for fun".

“Yeah, I see him all the time,” Marr told Absolute Radio. “[He’s the] same as always, brilliant. He’s writing songs for fun, recording songs, enjoying himself, sending me hilarious WhatsApp’s — usually about Manchester United and lots and lots of effects pedals. [That] is the way our relationship has gone for 30 odd years now".

More on this from Nova here.

Last month, Liam Gallagher had dismissed any rumours linking Oasis to Glastonbury in 2027.

The singer had been replying to a post from fan account Oasis Mania on X, which claimed that the band were among the favourites to headline the festival next year.

The account wrote: “According to The Scotsman, Oasis are among the favourites to headline Glastonbury 2027, with odds of 4/1. Could we see them return to the Pyramid Stage?”.

Gallagher's reply appeared to shut down the speculation however.

“It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving [expletive] can calm the [expletive] down,” he wrote. More here.
