Nova Legend Bob Gallico Passes Away

Tributes are being paid to radio legend Bob Gallico, who passed away overnight.

Bob was a newsreader on the original radio Nova in Dublin the eighties.

His parents were journalists, which sparked his interest in radio journalism, but he was also very influenced by other family members who were classical musicians – performing for Bob was in the blood!

He returned to San Francisco in the 90’s, and died following a long illness.

He will be fondly remembered by former colleagues here at Nova and in the wider radio, journalism and entertainment business in Ireland and the U.S., as well as his many fans – who remember the man with the unforgettable, rich radio voice.
