It’s not merely a gig. It’s a pilgrimage.
After sixteen long, often venomous years of silence, side-eyes, and solo records, the Gallagher brothers are finally doing it, and doing it properly. The Live 25 reunion tour has already whipped up euphoric scenes across the UK, and now, Dublin gets its moment in the sun- or, more likely, sideways rain, as Oasis land for two sold-out shows at Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
If you're holding a ticket, you're one of the lucky ones. If you’re still looking, you're probably screaming into the void of dynamic pricing. It’s done. Unless you win the resale lottery on Ticketmaster, you're watching this one from the pub.
Let’s break it down:
Where & When:
Jones' Road, Dublin 3. Croke Park. Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August.
Doors: 5 PM sharp. No camping, no early queuing. Turn up early and you’ll be told, quite bluntly, to jog on.
Getting There:
Walking, cycling, buses, trains, Luas, it’s all doable. But driving? Absolutely not. Surrounding roads will be locked down like a bank vault. Car = mistake.
The Crowd:
80,000 strong. Expect flares, tears, and grown men losing all composure during Slide Away. And that’s before Wonderwall.
The Band:
Not just Liam and Noel — Andy Bell, Gem Archer, and Bonehead are all back. Joey Waronker is on drums, adding a fresh dynamic to the nostalgia.
Support Acts:
Richard Ashcroft (yes, that one) and Cast. Britpop fans are eating well.
Setlist Highlights:
Acquiesce, Morning Glory, D’You Know What I Mean?, The Masterplan, and the inevitable, soul-levitating Don’t Look Back in Anger. Full-fat, greatest-hits Oasis.
Irish Connection:
Liam and Noel’s parents are Irish. The lads have roots. Dublin will feel like home. Emotion will be real.
Rules & Warnings:
No umbrellas. No big bags. No re-entry. No flares (though let’s be honest…). It’s strict, but it’s for your safety. Security will be tighter than Noel’s high harmonies.
This isn't just a concert. It's a cultural event two decades in the making. Expect chaos, catharsis, and probably some rain.
