The cortege will be taking place tomorrow, 30th of July, so fans can pay their respects to Ozzy Osbourne. The news was revealed by BBC that a hearse will make it's way to the Black Sabbath bridge and bench where thousands of fans have left flowers and messages to the late musician. The hearse will journey through Birmingham, travelling alongside his family to Broad Street from 1pm, according to the City Council. The cortege will take place ahead of a private funeral, local musicians Bostin’ Brass will accompany the procession.
The Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, said "We're going to pay our last respects and homage to one of the greatest living legends of Birmingham." “He put Birmingham on the map. He put Aston on the map,” he said.
Ozzy Osbournes death came just three weeks after Black Sabbath's final show 'Back To Beginning'. Since the death of the music legend, his fellow bandmates and friends within the industry have expressed their condolences on social media .
Pantera have also reschedueled their upcoming shows to allow people to mourn the loss of Osbourne. Black Sabbath and Osbournes music has seen a huge increase in streaming numbers since the passing of the Prince of Darkness.
Since Osbournes death, fans from all over the world have travelled to Birmingham to leave flowers and messages on the Black Sabbath bridge. People that live as far as Mexico, the USA, and Poland have visited Birmingham to pay their respects to Osbourne. There is also a book of condolensces on the Black Sabbath bridge, where fans have queued to write a message about how much the late music legend meant to them.
Fans and members of the public who wish to pay their respects can also visit Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, where a book of condolence is set up, as well as the Ozzy Osbourne Working Class Hero exhibition that was set up by Sharon Osbourne last month.
