Radiohead's song 'Let Down' has entered the US Billboard charts 28 years after it's release. The song has gained attraction recently thanks to social media, as 'Let Down' is being used as part of a viral TikTok trend.

'Let Down' is the fifth song on the rock band's 1997 album, and has entered the charts at no.91 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. This marks the fourth time that the band have charted in the US, with the first being in 1993 for their hit song 'Creep', which peaked at no.34 and maintained their spot on the charts for 20 weeks. After, the rock bands song 'High and Dry' hit the charts in 1995 for eight weeks, and then in 2008 they gained their spot on Billboards Hot 100 with the song 'Nude' from the album In Rainbows, which sat at no.37 for one week.

'Let Down' was featured in the season one finale of the hit Disney+ show, 'The Bear', and has gained popularity for the emotional impact that it added to the show's finale. After the finale, fans took to TikTok to share their fondness and connection to the song. Later, social media users have made the 1997 song viral as they have curated a trend using the tune.

According to the Guardian, the most liked video using 'Let Down' features AI generated fictional couples taking a selfie with their imaginary children. The trend has become viral with people using the song to show their future children with their partner.

Radiohead have not released an album since 'A Moon Shaped Pool' in 2016, however fans are speculating that they will release a new album soon as the band have recently registered a new limited liability partnership, RHEUK25 LLP.

The band members came together last summer to rehearse for an expected reunion, Colin Greenwood told NME in an interview, “We got together in the summer just for a couple of days and just ran through all the songs and picked up where we left off in 2018. It was really fun and nice to see everyone." Although he did disclose in the interview that their rehearsal does not mean "a tour is imminent." He continued to say that “I think we’re still a band where people might want to know what might happen next. We’re very lucky to have that.”

Jonny Greenwood told NME that they had no plans to release new music as “We’ve [got] lots of individual projects going on at the moment."
