She must have had the craic when she briefly joined her former bandmates on stage in London earlier this year, because it looks like Christine McVie would like to permanently rejoin Fleetwood Mac.
The singer, songwriter and keyboardist left in 1998 after almost 30 years with the band, and made no secret of her relief on checking out of the hectic rock and roll lifestyle at the time.
Now, the woman who said ‘Never Going Back Again’, may be doing just that. In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Christine said: “I miss them all. If they were to ask me [back] I would probably be very delighted…but it hasn’t happened”.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac are off the road while the band’s bassist – and Christine’s ex-husband – John McVie is being treated for cancer. She also told The Guardian he’s “really good” and that he “should be up and running in a couple of months”.
Fleetwood Mac’s next scheduled tour date is in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas on December 30th.
Hear them later tonight (Tuesday) on The Classic Album at 11pm when Fleetwood Mac plays, ad-free!
