Rob Beckett has revealed he plans to take a step back from television work after his upcoming appearance on Celebrity Traitors.
The comedian is among the famous faces taking part in the BBC reality series when it returns later this year, but he has admitted that filming the show was an intense experience and has made him rethink his busy schedule.
Speaking to The Sun, Beckett said he wants to spend more time at home with his family.
"I’m trying to be at home more, more relaxed.
"I’ve done quite a lot, I think I need to chill out a bit – it’s getting a bit needy isn’t it. I’ve got a bit of time off in autumn and I’m looking forward to being at home more and being more present.
"Because I’m getting older and the kids are too, so I’m trying to work a little bit less and be there for them."

The Last Leg star also opened up about his daily routine, revealing he is much more organised in the mornings than his friends and fellow comedians Josh Widdicombe and Romesh Ranganathan.
"I’m an immediate shower before I get on with my day type of person.
"I’m not going to do the school run dirty – that’s disgusting."
He joked that his routine is very different to Widdicombe's, saying:
"If I get up early and do exercise, I’ll have a shower straight after the exercise. Whereas my friend, Josh Widdicombe, has one shower a day, no matter what happens the rest of the day."

Discussing life on tour with Romesh Ranganathan, he added:
"On tour I’ll be checking out the hotel breakfast while he’s more of a meal replacement shake in the room type guy – bed rotter."
Meanwhile, Beckett recently revealed that Josh Widdicombe's appointment as the new host of Strictly Come Dancing came as a surprise to him too.
Asked if he knew about the role before it was announced publicly, he told new! magazine:
"I knew he was going into London for 'meetings'."
"But I was filming Celebrity Traitors, it was only after I came out that I found out that he'd got it."

"I'm so happy for him. He's genuinely a really good person and very honest and enthusiastic."
"He and his family all love Strictly, so he doesn't have to fake that. He'll be perfect."
Beckett also confirmed he was never in the running for the presenting role himself, saying the timing would not have worked with his existing commitments.
"No, but the timing wasn't quite right anyway.
"I'd just finished a massive tour, my wife's got a new book out. I'm trying to not add more to the diary.
"If I'd been offered it, I'd have had a serious think. But no, I'm just buzzing for Josh."
