Rolling Stones Frontman Mick Jagger Is Said To Be On The Mend

Mick Jagger who underwent a life-saving operation and was told by his doctors to rest up is apparently recovering very well.

The Sun reports that the Rolling Stone frontman has been given the all-clear after recovering from his emergency heart operation.

A music source told the publication:

“Mick is delighted to be back to full health and feels 100 per cent after his op. He is his normal chipper and positive self. Doctors are really pleased with his progress and were happy to give him a clean bill of health.”

The Stones had to cancel some of the concerts on their U.S. tour while the 75-year-old musician was hospitalised for keyhole surgery last month in New York.

According to the report, the doctors found “something untoward” during the veteran rocker’s routine scan.  His eldest daughter Jade Jagger posted a picture of him smiling at a “family day” in London with her younger sister, model Georgia May Jagger on May 10th.

Other sightings confirming a return to health was at The Oval cricket ground in London where Jagger appeared with Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts to watch England’s match against Pakistan recently.

Jagger, father of 8 children underwent the operation to replace a heart valve, he told fans he is feeling much better and has already rescheduled the dates that were cancelled on their No Filter trek tour, which was due to begin in April in Miami.

The Sun informed it’s readers that Jagger feels 100 per cent fit, and is back to his normal, positive self.  “His healthy eating has really helped with his recovery and he’s been taking it easy and resting, as well as enjoying downtime with his friends and family. The health scare has just reminded him to keep taking good care of himself,” they said.

Jagger’s girlfriend of five years, the ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick has been keeping a vigil throughout the health scare. Melanie who is many years younger gave birth to their son Deveraux in 2016.
