Sting is back out on the road with a new album. Say hello to his 11th solo studio album, The Last Ship.
The album, which is Sting’s first new set of original music in a decade, features material originally composed for his musical of the same name – including songs that did not make the show’s final cut.
The Last Ship is set in Sting‘s hometown of Wallsend, England — near Newcastle — and includes collaborations with Brian Yorkey, who wrote the musical Next To Normal, and Academy Award Winner John Logan, best known for writing the Academy Award winning title song to the James Bond 007 thriller, Skyfall.
The album also guests AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson as he is one of the featured vocalists on the new album.
