Two Killed After Vehicle Drives Into Crowd In Germany

Several people have died after a vehicle was driven into a group of pedestrians in Münster in north west Germany. It happened near a statue in the Old Town. Police say the driver of the car has killed himself.

Police, fire-brigade and rescue vehicles are all attending the scene. First reports say at least three people have died and up to 30 are injured.

Police tweeted that residents should ‘avoid the area near the ‘Kiepenkerl pub’ where a large-scale police operation is underway. Kiepenkerl is a popular bar in the city’s historic downtown area.
