Shane MacGowan Parties With Kate Moss At Book Of Art Launch

Shane MacGowan was spotted partying with long term friend Kate Moss into the early hours, after the pair met at the launch of MacGowan’s book of art.

The Pogues music icon was in London for the launch of this book of art titled The Eternal Buzz and the Crock of Gold. The work is being showcased as part of an exhibition from MacGowan.

Along with contributions from Johnny Depp, MacGowan and Clarke, the book also features an essay from critic Waldemar Januszczak.

Kate Moss who has been a long term friend of MacGowan and his wife Victoria Mary Clarke, attended this glam event at Knightsbridge’s Andipa art gallery on Tuesday night. She also dated Johnny Depp in the 1990s.

Urging people to bring lots of money, Shane MacGowan can also be heard telling his followers “But you’d better hurry because it’s going fast”.

“That’s my paintings, which are being exhibited tonight”, MacGowan continued. “They’re available in a limited edition book put together by my better half, Victoria”. 

He also added “And I’m very grateful to her. But don’t forget to bring some money. A lot of money! They won’t get cheaper. See you later, folks”. 

A “wild wild night” For MacGowan

Victoria Mary Clarke also shared a photo of the party herself. She paid homage to friends for what she called a “wild, wild night”.

Such friends that Clarke was thanking included Bon Geldof, Dublin band Fontaines D.C, Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, fashion designer Bella Freud.

Clarke also thanked “our dear darling sex bomb” Kate Moss.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for coming to the @andipagallery for @shanemacgowanofficial’s art ­exhibition!”, the wife of Shane MacGowan wrote.

She also added, “I am completely knackered and overwhelmed by the support and the energy and enthusiasm and everything that happened, and by so much LOVE from so many beautiful, wonderful people”.

“So many of our old friends and treasured friends and loved ones”. 

“Thank you to the gallery – Acoris is an absolutely awesome guy – and @artywaldy for an impassioned and articulate speech against all the odds”.

She also wrote, “Thank you so much @emmapiette.events for ­organising the event with panache and glamour and to the staff who were ­radiant and beautiful, especially Willow, thank you for all of the social media, you work so hard! It’s been a wild, wild night”.
