Ireland is set to experience the first storm of 2018 as Storm Eleanor is due to hit our shores this afternoon.
Storm Eleanor is expected to move in from the Atlantic later this afternoon and will move quite quickly across the country with sweeping winds.
Met Éireann have put in place a status orange weather warning for Munster, Leinster and south Galway as they try to warn of the upheaval the storm can potentially pose.
