The Cure Reveal Work Begins On First New Record In 10 Years!

According to CoS, Cure lead singer Robert Smith recently made an appearance on The John Maytham Show.

Smith talked about his recent shows the band had played and announced that the Goth-rockers had completed finished their eagerly awaited follow-up to their last LP,  2008’s 4:13_Dream.

“We’ve enjoyed [the shows] and we’ve just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years,” Smith also said that he was, “still doing this for the right reasons.”

He also added, “We cover different styles of music, but because it’s us doing it, it sounds like us.”

However, Smith sought to clarify his comments, in another interview with 5FM, he corrected that the group band had “just started, [but] not quite finished, recording our first new album for 10 years.”
