The Osbournes have revealed who they would like to play the parts of Sharon and Ozzy in a biopic.

In a recent episode of their podcast, siblings Jack and Kelly Osbourne have revealed who they would like to see portray their parents in any possible project.

Back in 2020, it was announced that a project was in development, before being officially confirmed a year later.

In the episode, Jack asked Kelly, “Who do you want to play you guys”?, who replied, “I know who I want to play mum — Florence Pugh. I think Florence Pugh would do a fantastic (job)”.

Florence Pugh has starred in the critically acclaimed Dune: Part Two, as well as the Oscar winning Oppenheimer, which won 7 Academy Awards last weekend.

Sharon Osbourne concurred with this statement, while also referring to Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams.

“I think Florence Pugh or the little girl from Game of Thrones”, she said.

Who would play Ozzy?

Elsewhere on the podcast, Jack Osbourne mentioned who he would like to play his father.

“You know who I want to play dad? Bill Hader”, he stated on the episode.  “Everyone thinks I’m f****** crazy until I show a side-by-side picture, and then that guy’s ability to morph”.

Jack then showed Ozzy a photograph of Hader, to which the singer abruptly replied, “F*** off”.

However, Sharon sided with her son on this debate, chiming in with, “I think he could nail it”.

No fresh update on the biopic’s development was offered at the time of writing, with Ozzy joking that, “By the time we finish this film I’ll be dead”.

Kelly also stated that she would be “staying out of” the movie, saying, “Everyone’s got something to do with the movie and I’m staying out of it”.

According to the podcast, the biopic will explore Sharon and Ozzy’s relationship from 1979 to 1999, looking at the rise of Ozzy’s career with Black Sabbath.

While a biopic may be on the horizon, the Osbournes were quick to rule out a reboot of their infamous TV series.
