Travis Scott has revealed he arrived on the set of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey at 5am every day so he could learn from the acclaimed director and his filmmaking team.
The rapper and musician makes a small appearance in the epic as Phemius, a bard, and said he wanted to make the most of the opportunity by observing Nolan and Oscar-winning cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema at work.

Speaking to Variety, Scott said he spent his mornings shadowing the pair instead of relaxing in his trailer.
"I'm looking in the camera. I'm all under the hood," he said, before joking, "Ain't no kicking it."
Asked what he learned from the Oscar-winning filmmaker, Scott replied: "Always see the vision through. Never go short on the vision."
He added that the atmosphere on set was unlike anything he had experienced before, saying the entire cast was eager to be involved.
"Nobody was in their trailer," Scott said. "That was new for me; I was used to doing what I’m doing and going back to the trailer. But I was really wanting to learn, so I didn’t really want to be in the trailer anyway."

Nolan has previously explained why he wanted Scott in the film, saying the casting was inspired by the origins of Homer's epic poem.
"I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap," the director said, adding that "His voice became the final piece of a yearlong puzzle."
Scott's behind-the-scenes comments come as The Odyssey continues its record-breaking run at the global box office.

The film has earned $264 million (€225 million) worldwide during its opening week, including $124.5 million (€106 million) in North America, making it Christopher Nolan's biggest global opening ever. It surpasses the previous record held by The Dark Knight Rises, which debuted with $249 million (€212 million) worldwide.

It also marks Matt Damon's biggest opening weekend to date. Damon, who plays Odysseus, recently described the production as "the hardest movie I've ever done by far. I mean, not even close."
The epic has also become the highest-rated film of Nolan's career on Rotten Tomatoes, earning 94% from critics and 97% from audiences, ahead of favourites including Inception, The Dark Knight and Oppenheimer.
Based on Homer's ancient Greek epic, The Odyssey follows Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, as he embarks on a perilous journey home after the Trojan War.
The film boasts an all-star cast including Matt Damon, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Elliot Page, Lupita Nyong'o, Mia Goth, Himesh Patel and Jon Bernthal, and was released in cinemas on July 17.
