Three Men Arrested As €1.2 million Worth Of Drugs Seized By Gardaí In Dublin

Gardaí have confirmed that three men have been arrested after drugs worth an estimated €1.2 million were seized in Dublin on Tuesday.

The men, aged in their 50s, 40s and 30s, were arrested and detained in Garda Stations in North and West Dublin, under Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

This arrest was part of an intelligence led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and Revenue Customs Service. This led to the seizure of 56.5Kgs of herbal cannabis which had an estimated value of €1.13 million, by the Revenue Customs Office in Dublin yesterday.

It was also reported in the Irish Independent that another 4Kgs of cannabis was seized, worth an estimated value of €80,000, as well as €2,900 cash, and a cash counting machine, were also seized in follow up searches by Gardaí.

Overall, €1,210,000 controlled drugs were seized in this operation, while investigations remain ongoing.
