Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Bluebell, Dublin last year.

Derek Coady, of Nugget Cottages, Bluebell Avenue, Dublin 12, and Conor Curran, of Dromcarra Grove, Tallaght, have also been charged with arson.

Firefighters who responded to calls of a fire alarm going off at Alan Hall’s home on Bluebell Avenue in west Dublin last May discovered the 45-year-old’s body inside.

A post-mortem revealed injuries to his head and neck.

30-year-old Derek Coady and Conor Curran, who’s 34-years-old, appeared in court today accused of murdering Mr Hall. Both have also been charged with arson.

Mr Coady was arrested in Dublin last night, while his co-accused was arrested in Cork city.

Neither of them are working at the moment, so they were both granted legal aid. Both intend to apply for bail, but that’ll have to be heard by a High Court judge.

In the meantime, they were both remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Thursday.
