Tyson Fury is reportedly interested in buying his hometown football club Morecambe FC alongside former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to reports, the pair are considering a takeover of the struggling National League North side and are also discussing plans for a Netflix-style documentary following the club’s journey.
The proposed series is reportedly inspired by the success of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham AFC through the hit documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.
Reports claim Fury and Ibrahimovic discussed the idea while in Warsaw, Poland, where they were filming a World Cup-related advert earlier this week.
A source reportedly said: "They were in Warsaw filming an advert for the World Cup. Tyson was talking to him about buying his local home town club Morecambe FC."
The insider added: “They want to buy the club and make a Netflix documentary called Rise of Morecambe together. Just like Ryan Reynolds did with Wrexham."
"They both know what it takes to get to the top. They had a great time filming the ad. It was for the World Cup and Tyson’s food and drink brand Furocity was involved. Then they all went to dinner afterwards."
The source also claimed the two sports stars have been close friends for years.

"Tyson and Zlatan have been great friends for years. Zlatan used to go to the gym with Tyson when he played for United."
Morecambe have endured a turbulent period in recent years, with financial uncertainty surrounding the club following relegation struggles and ownership concerns.
Fury, who was born in Manchester but has strong links to the northwest coast, has regularly spoken about his passion for football alongside boxing. Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has built a growing business portfolio since retiring from professional football in 2023 after a hugely successful career with clubs including AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and LA Galaxy.
Neither Fury nor Ibrahimovic has publicly confirmed the reported takeover talks.
Earlier this week, Fury announced that he will be fighting in Dublin on August 1st, just one week after Anthony Joshua makes his comeback.
A long awaited Fury versus Joshua fight is rumoured to take place in November this year, however each boxer has a warm up match before they have their showdown.
Joshua is making his return to the boxing scene after he was injured in a car crash back in December which killed his two friends.
The British heavyweights are on a collision course for a long-awaited showdown that has been mooted to take place in November, although it appears both fighters will have a warm-up.
Fury posted a video in an Instagram story showing him back in training in Thailand alongside the caption: "Let's go August 1, Dublin, Ireland."
