Courtney Love plays a relatively small part in Justin Kelly’s forthcoming film JT LeRoy. The movie is a drama which draws inspiration from Savannah Knoop’s 2008 memoir Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT Leroy.
Kristen Stewart plays Knoop, who became a celebrity in the ’90s by taking on the public role of JT Leroy. That’s the fabricated literary persona of her novelist sister-in-law Laura Albert (Laura Dern).
Love, actually hung out with JT LeRoy back in the day, and the rocker plays a Hollywood producer looking to turn one of JT LeRoy’s novels into a movie. Check out the trailer below.
