A star-studded tribute concert that honoured Courtney Love happened at Basilica Hudson in Hudson, New York on Saturday night. Many music icons took part in the event.
They included R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, The National’s Aaron Dessner, and Love’s former Hole bandmate, Melissa Auf der Maur. Ms der Maur was also the event’s producer and creative director.
According to Consequence of Sound, during the evening, Love and Auf der Maur reunited on stage to perform classic Hole songs including “Doll Parts”, “Miss World”, and “Softer Softest”. This was the first time Love and Auf der Maur had sung together since Hole’s two-song reunion back in 2012.
