At their Teenage Cancer Trust Show in London last night, The Who were joined on stage by Eddie Vedder at the historic Royal Albert Hall, London.

This marked the band’s second show at the famous venue this week, having began their TCT concert series on Monday (March 18).

Eddie Vedder was introduced to the stage by Roger Daltrey, and the Who, and the Pearl Jam singer performed a joined live cover of ‘The Punk And The Godfather’ from their 1973 album ‘Quadrophenia’.

The pair delivered an energetic performance of this track, before embracing at the end. Watch footage of this below.

Vedder & The Who Perform ‘The Seeker’

This is not the first that Eddie Vedder has joined The Who on stage in support of cancer charities.

In November 2022, the singer joined Roger Daltrey on stage, in support of an organisation, Teen Cancer America.

The band and Vedder also performed a live cover of classic track ‘The Seeker’, which was released by The Who, featuring on their album ‘Meaty, Beaty, Big And Bouncy’, which arrived in 1970.

Teen Cancer America is another organisation which supports young people battling cancer, with specialised, youth-orientated set of facilities in the US.

It has also been supported by The Who’s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey for a long time. More on this from Nova here.

Earlier this month, The Who’s Roger Daltrey had warned that Artificial Intelligence could “destroy” the music industry.

“The one thing I totally believe AI will never have, and it will be its downfall – it will never have empathy”, Daltrey told the Shaun Keaveny’s Daily Grind’ .

“It’s going to destroy the music industry if we’re not careful… music is a different language, and we shouldn’t let AI control that”.
