The first trailer for the new road trip film inspired by Green Day has arrived.
The film, New Years Rev, has shared its first teaser, showing a band called the Analog Dogs, starring Mason Thames, Ryan Foust and Kylr Coffman as they set out on a road trip from Kansas to California to meet their heroes, having been led to believe that they gave secured a support slot with Green Day at a New Year's Eve Show.
Alongside the trio, the cast for New Years Rev also includes Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, McKenna Grace, Keen Ruffalo, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Sean Gunn.
Inspired by their early days, initial plans to release this movie were first announced back in February, with all three Green Day bandmates including frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to serve as executive producer. It will also be produced by Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino for Live Nation Productions.
“Van days rule. You will drive all night on no sleep then play a show for 10 kids in a basement of a friend of a friend’s house 50 miles east of anywhere you’ve ever heard of", he said. "But you’ll do it again the next day, and the one after that. Because you’re doing it with your bandmates who become your family and it’s unlike anything you’ve ever known", Armstrong said of the film earlier this year.
The trailer which you can check out below, is set mostly to Green Day hits ‘American Idiot’ track, ‘Holiday’.
