Foo Fighters made a special surprise appearance at Metallica’s sold out gig on Tuesday, October 16th from the backstage area. Before the concert kicked off, Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl were videoed backstage by stand up comedian Jim Breuer, who opened the show for Metallica.

Breuer was hosting backstage, with the footage being shown to the waiting crowd and then, later on, shared to the band’s Instagram account. While the comedian was presenting backstage, Breuer opened a door which showed The Foo’s Hawkins and Grohl. The NME reports that the crowd could be heard screaming at the surprise.

“I didn’t find Metallica, but I found … ,” Breuer said, before pointing to Grohl and Hawkins. He asked the crowd if any of the fans were attending the Foos’ show which took place last night.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters gave fans in Kansas City, Missouri, a special treat to a cover of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ on Friday Night, the 12th of October.

However, the rendition had an added bonus as Dave Grohl and co invited a 10-year-old fan up on to the stage to help out and play the guitar on the song. You can watch footage of the moment here.
