Iggy Pop and his new supergroup which includes Josh Homme and Matt Helders of the Arctic Monkeys, recently played on Jools Holland.
Pop an Co performed a classic track and a new track on the show last night (May 17th). Blossoms, Protoje, Graham Nash and Margo Price were the other acts who appeared on Jools Holland last night.
Iggy Pop, Josh Homme and the gang performed a new track called ‘Sunday’ on the show, as well as playing one of Pop’s most recognisable songs ‘Lust For Life’.
Pop recently released a new solo album Post Pop Depression which came out back in March. Since then he has been on tour with Josh Homme, Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders and Homme’s Queens of the Stone Age colleague Dean Fertita.
As well as releasing a new album this year, Iggy Pop is also set to release a new book which documents his time with The Stooges. Total Chaos: The Story of The Stooges is the name of the book and it will be released by Jack White’s Third Man Books later in the year.
