Over the weekend, Paul McCartney closed out Saturday Night Live with a surprise performance of the track 'Coming Up'. You can check this out below.

The music legend returned to the show over the weekend, performing the lead single from his upcoming album, 'The Boys Of Dungeon Lane', which saw him open up with 'Days We Left Behind', before playing Wings classic hit, 'Band On The Run', which saw Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith on drums.

Later on, Paul McCartney returned to the stage for the cast goodnights, where he performed 'Coming Up', from his 1980's 'McCartney III'.

While they often cut out during the goodnights due to time limits, this live showing saw SNL go over, and the cast were seen dancing in the background as they finished off season 51 of the popular show.

The Boys Of Dungeon Lane will arrive on May 29, and also features a duet between Paul McCartney and former Beatles bandmate, Ringo Starr, a track called Home To Us.

Speaking recently, McCartney explained how his first ever duet with former Beatles bandmate, Sir Ringo Starr came about.

"Ringo went round to the studio and drummed a bit. I said to [producer Andrew Watt], we should make a track and send it to him. So this song is done totally with Ringo in mind ...", McCartney said during a special preview of his new album with fans at the famous Abbey Road Studios.

"In writing the song I’m talking about where we came from. In common with a lot of people, you come from nothing and you build yourself up".

He continued: "Ringo was from the Dingle [area of Liverpool], and that was well hard. He said he used to get mugged coming home, because he worked. Even though it was crazy, it was home to us".

In other news, Paul McCartney spoke about his experiences of seeing Bob Dylan perform live, admitting that he “couldn’t tell what song he was doing”.

However, McCartney remains a fan of the singer, saying he admires his his ability to do what feels right for him, regardless of what people might think of it, especially when it comes to omitting some of his biggest hits from a live set.

“In fact, talking about Mr Dylan, I’ve been to see a couple of Bob’s shows, and honestly, I couldn’t tell what song he was doing. Now, that’s a bit much, because I know his stuff", he said. More on this here.
