Pulp drummer Nick Banks joined tribute band Pulp'd for a live rendition of 'Disco 2000' in Sheffield this week.

Banks joined the tribute act at Fake Festival at Endcliffe Park last Saturday night (May 10).

Prior to this, Banks was introduced to the stage by Pulp'd who told the audience: “Can you believe this? This is something quite special, it definitely makes Fake Festival history. Because nobody in Fake Festival history has ever had a member of the band that they are tributing get on stage and play a song with them".

Before settling down to his drumkit, Banks said: “This could all go horribly wrong, you do know that, don’t you?".

Footage of this was later posted on social media, which you can check out below.

“Joined Pulp tribute band last night Pulp’d,” Banks wrote on Bluesky. “Had a blast!”.

Check out footage of this below.

"incredible night"

After the show, Pulp'd wrote this on social media.

“Incredible night, being joined on stage by @welovepulp legend @realnickbanks at Sheffield @fakefestivals. Thanks Nick for a special experience", they said.

Back in April, the real Pulp treated fans to a live performance of their new single, 'Spike Island' on their recent appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show. The track features on their latest album 'More', which arrives on June 6. More on this from Nova here.
