The veteran English rock band Radiohead made headlines on 7 November 2025, when they performed their song “Just” live for the first time since 2009, during their show at the Movistar Arena in Madrid.

The Madrid appearance marked the third night of their long‑awaited 2025 European tour, their first outing in seven years. The set included a full span of their career, but the revival of “Just” stood out most for fans and critics alike. The third‑night set list opened with “Planet Telex” and 2 + 2 = 5, and featured key moments such as “Lucky”, “Bloom” and “Ful Stop”. The encore culminated with “Just” before closing with rock staple “Karma Police”.

The significance of performing “Just” — a track originally from their 1995 album The Bends — after a 16‑year absence cannot be overstated. Widely regarded as a high‑point of their live repertoire, “Just” has long been a fan favourite but one the band had shelved from live shows for over a decade. Its resurrection suggests Radiohead may be revisiting deeper catalogue cuts throughout this tour.

This performance is part of the band’s 2025 tour, announced in September, which sees them playing 20 shows across Europe — marking a substantial return after their hiatus. They have committed to rotating their set list and delivering what has been described as a “busking approach”: playing songs from across their full catalogue rather than simply delivering a greatest‑hits show. Their first night in Madrid, for example, drew heavily on the albums OK Computer and Hail to the Thief, while subsequent nights pulled in rarities and deep‑cuts.

The band have rarely toured in recent years, and each re‑appearance becomes a highlight in its own right. With the band signalling a renewed appetite for live performance, those hoping for future Irish dates would be wise to stay alert.
