A winning €8.7 million Lotto jackpot ticket has been traced to a busy forecourt in Dublin 12, with the exact location now confirmed.
The National Lottery revealed that the lucky Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Applegreen Ballymount service station on Ballymount Avenue in the M50 Business Park. The ticket, purchased on the day of the draw, is worth a life-changing €8,726,418—but the winner has yet to come forward.
The winning numbers in the draw were 1, 7, 27, 28, 34 and 42, with the bonus number 26.
Staff at the Dublin forecourt said they were delighted to learn that one of their customers had landed the massive prize. Site Director Tom Hevey described the moment they got the news as a huge boost.
“The entire team in-store were absolutely thrilled to hear that one of our customers spent the Bank Holiday weekend becoming a Lotto jackpot millionaire,” he said.

Located in a busy industrial area with a mix of local customers and passing traffic, the store sees a high volume of daily visitors—raising the possibility that the winner may not even realise they are holding the golden ticket.
“Applegreen Ballymount is a busy location with local and passing trade, so we hope that the winner checks their ticket soon – we wish them all the very best with their huge win,” Hevey added.
The National Lottery is now urging anyone who purchased a ticket at the Ballymount location on Saturday, 2 May to check their numbers carefully.
Spokesperson Sarah Orr said the winner should take immediate steps once they realise they have the ticket.
“The winner should sign the back of their ticket and contact our prize claims team as soon as possible,” she said.
For now, the identity of Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire remains a mystery, with anticipation building as officials wait for the winning ticket-holder to come forward.
