The body of a woman has been discovered in a public park in Dublin.
Gardaí were alerted after the remains were found in Ravensdale Park in Kimmage by a member of the public shortly before 9am on Tuesday.
A heavy Garda presence was reported at the scene as a forensic examination was carried out.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána confirmed that a body had been found and said the coroner had been notified.
A postmortem examination will now take place, with the results expected to “determine the course of the Garda investigation.”
It is understood that foul play is not currently suspected.
Gardaí said: “Inquiries are ongoing.”
