Gardaí have arrested five drivers in Dublin this weekend who tested positive for drink and drugs at checkpoints.
Yesterday morning, three drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of drink in Clondalkin, and a fourth was picked up after testing positive for drugs.
Then last night in Blackrock, a motorist tested positive for cocaine and cannabis.
Gardaí are staging the mandatory intoxicant checkpoints all over the country this weekend in what they’re calling Operation Surround.
