Rod Stewart paused a gig to shout at a fan for "spoiling" the show.
The Maggie May singer was midway through a live show in Athens, before stopping to confront a fan. It was reported that Stewart was upset that the fan was holding up a sign.
"Out the f***ing way," he said. "You're spoiling the show for everybody. Out the way. Leave. We don't need you here".
"All she's doing is putting up a sign," Rod continued. "It's not hurting you is it, mate?".
Following this, fans reacted on social media, with some suggesting that Stewart was annoyed that his beloved Celtic had lost to St Mirren earlier that day (December 14).
"Probably mentioned St Mirren' and 'His team got beat 3-1 today", one fan wrote via TikTok.
After sharing footage of this exchange between Stewart and the fan on TikTok, another fan added: "Rod Stewart p****d off! What happened?".
Back in October, Rod Stewart spoke about the idea of retiring, admitting that all good things have to come to an end, such has his stellar singing career.
However, despite previously announcing plans to scale down large sold out shows, Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster has said that her husband has been plotting a huge 80 show run to celebrate his 80th birthday.
“I still enjoy what I’m doing. I love it,” Stewart told People. “You can tell it’s written all over my face. Absolutely love it.” Yet even amid the enthusiasm, there was a flicker of realism. “But all things have to come to an end,” he added.
Stewart also stated that he is not done creating new music.
“I’m supposed to be doing a country album,” he revealed. “And I’m halfway through doing an original album".

Earlier this Summer, Rod Stewart introduced his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood on stage during his Glastonbury set. He was also joined on stage by Simply Red's Mick Hucknall and Scottish music legend, Lulu.
