Circle K are to provide free tea and coffee, including iced coffee to all Darkness Into Light walkers.
The offer will be available from 5am to 8am on Saturday, May 9 at all participating Circle K locations across the country. To claim their free drink, customers just need to mention the words, 'Darkness Into Light' at the till of any Circle K. This offer will apply to any size coffee, tea, iced coffee, matcha, or hot chocolate.
Darkness Into Light is one of Ireland's most important fundraising events, having raised over €4 million to fund Pieta House's free, life saving services last year.
Pieta helps to deliver assistance to those in need, having handled more than 100,000 emergency calls or messages last year. They offer free, professional care to those affected by suicide, including in-person, phone and video therapy as well as suicide bereavement support.
Every 2km covered by people on these walks can help to fund one potential life saving contact to the Pieta crisis helpline, proving that each stride taken makes such a huge difference.
Circle K is the official coffee partner of Darkness Into Light 2026, supporting tens of thousands of people who will take part in this early morning walk, providing hope, remembrance and solidarity to those affected by suicide and self harm.
This year's event is to see more than 100,000 people taking part across more than 150 locations nationwide. May of these walks are located near Circle K stores.
Every year, roughly 500 people die annually from suicide, with one in five suffering suicidal ideation in their life. Each suicide touches as many of 135 people, including relatives, friends and whole communities.
“At Circle K, we are deeply proud to stand with Pieta as both a charity partner and the official coffee partner of Darkness Into Light 2026. By offering free tea and coffee to participants, we want to support and thank the incredible communities coming together this Saturday, 9 May", Gillian McGowan, Market Development Director at Circle K Ireland said.
"In the lead-up to the event, we are also encouraging customers nationwide to add a €1 donation at the till, helping to directly support Pieta’s vital, life-saving services. Together, we can help shine a light in the darkness while supporting the vital work Pieta delivers every day".
Elsewhere, Pieta's CEO, Stephanie Manahan added: “We are incredibly grateful to Circle K for their continued support of Darkness Into Light and for helping to create such a warm and welcoming moment for participants on the morning of the walk".
"Every person who takes part is helping to ensure that Pieta’s free suicide and self-harm prevention services remain available to those who need them most. If you haven’t already registered, there is still time to do so and join your local walk at darknessintolight.ie and be part of something truly meaningful".
Darkness Into Light 2026 will take place on the morning of Saturday, 9 May at 4.15 am.
