Radio Nova's Louise Ducrocq spoke to Steven Knight, creator and writer of Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger, the highly anticipated documentary which followed the iconic band on their 2025 tour around the world.

It was on Friday, August 28, 2009, when Oasis was getting ready to perform in Paris, that an  announcement was made that the concert would not be taking place.

Brothers Liam and  Noel Gallagher had quarreled in their dressing room, and that evening’s concert – as well as the rest of the European tour – was cancelled.

Liam and Noel didn’t speak for the next 15 years.

'Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger' charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant return, Oasis Live ‘25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time, and features unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage of the tour.

Steven Knight told Radio Nova all about this 'story of redemption' that filled the world's biggest stadiums with millions of anxious fans, waiting for their idols to come back to the stage.

When asked about what he expected from Liam and Noel before production even started, Steven stated: 'We were fully aware this was a situation that could go in any direction. There was anticipation that things would go wrong.'

All througout the film, the audience wonders if Liam and Noel will manage to solve over a lifetime of conflict, all the while rehearsing and touring the world.

Steven looked back on the moment Liam walked into rehearsals for the first time, 6 weeks before the start of the tour. He hadn't seen Noel in 15 years.

'Because they're Irish working class-men, there's no high-five, there's no hug, there's no tears, there's no words even,' he stated. 'It's only when they're working that those moments [of reconciliation] start to accumulate.'

Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger is in IMAX® and Cinemas now.
