“No, no that never happened”

ACDC’s Angus Young has also recently said that that Guns N’Roses frontman Axl Rose never recorded music with the band, contrary to rumours.

Rumours had be circulating that Rose had been recording material with the band. This rumour has been eschewed by Young.

Young said, “No no. That never happened”. More here.

Young did say that Axl wanting to play ACDC’s lesser played material on tour kept the band on their toes.

Young commented, He always reminded me of songs, and say Can we do that?’ And I’d go, Oh, all right. I’ll try.’ I was lucky. I’ve got a guitar tech that played in a cover band. And I would go, Tell me the first chord, and then I’ll pick it up.’ It was fun. It kept us on our toes, too”.

News on Guns N’Roses

Speaking of Guns N’Roses, their guitaris,t Slash mentioned a few weeks ago that the band are to release new material this coming year.

He said, “Prior to that, Duff McKagan and I did some jamming and we also worked on the Guns record. I’ve also had a couple of ancillary recordings and jams on top of that, so there’s been a lot of stuff going on. I’m really not good at slowing down and just sitting around”.

He added, “I would like to think that we’d have some new stuff out next year, from both camps. It’s hard to say, but I would like to think we’ll have some stuff out next year”.
