Aerosmith axeman Joe Perry has revealed that the rockers have no intention of retiring anytime soon!
2020 will mark their 50th anniversary and the guitarist also claims that there is a chance the group will make a new album. Speaking to The Star Tribune, Perry said:
“Any gigs we do next year will be celebrated as 50 years. By no means will it be a farewell tour. Maybe we’ll go to 75. We’ll see.”
The rocker also discussed the chance of a new album and he said:
“There’s a chance we’re up for it. We’re just getting settled into this [Vegas] thing, and I’m hoping the continuity of playing together like this is going to point the way for us to get back to the studio.”
Perry concluded that if a long-player was not on the horizon he’d definitely like to see more tunes coming from the legends: “I’d like to see another album or at least a couple more songs. I know it’s there.”
