Aerosmith have announced plans to release a new Legendary Edition of their debut album from 1973.
The band are to release a three CD set, featuring remastered and remixed versions of their original LP, available in 5-LP Box, 4-LP Slipcase, 1-LP Black / 1-LP Color, 1-CD and digital formats. The album will also include bonus tracks from live shows and recording sessions. It will also feature original recordings and tapes from Aerosmith co founders Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.
A 12 page booklet with photos, new artwork and liner notes will also feature.
The third CD of this Legendary Edition will include live songs and previously unreleased bonus tunes which are at the centre of the project. This concert recording is taken from 20 March 1972, and was recorded at Paul's Mall in Aerosmith's hometown in Boston.
Six bonus songs from this edition are all taken from the late 1972 recording sessions that produced the debut album. Rehearsed and alternate takes of the tracks "Make It" and "Write Me a Letter," and a pair of in-studio jams: "Harmonica Bass Jam Jelly (Session Take)" and "Joined at the Hip (Aerojam)," which includes a snippet of "Sweet Emotion', will also feature.

Originally released in 1973, the band's debut album reached No 21 in the charts, before going double platinum.
