Alanis Morissette Releasing 25th Anniversary ‘Jagged Little Pill’

Alanis Morissette is to release a 25th anniversary reissue of ‘Jagged Little Pill’ on June 26th.

The 46-year-old singer will drop a deluxe digital edition of her iconic 1995 record and it will feature the original album and an acoustic live performance she recorded at London’s Shepherd’s Bush earlier this year, on March 4th, shortly before the coronavirus pandemic shuttered live music in the U.K. for the time being.

The re-release of the album – which has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide – includes an acoustic version of Morissette’s hit song “Ironic,” which she shared this week and you can watch above.

She wrote on Twitter: “Excited to announce a special digital reissue of Jagged Little Pill will be coming out on 6/26 to celebrate the 25th anniversary. It includes a live acoustic performance from Shepherds Bush in London this past March 2020. such a memorable show, and I can’t wait to share it. (sic)”

Five of the ‘Jagged Little Pill’ music videos, including huge hit ‘Ironic’, have been remastered in 4K and will be re-released on Alanis’ YouTube channel from June 26th to July 2nd.

On Sunday, June 28th, fans will be treated to a special screening of the long out-of-print Jagged Little Pill, Live on Alanis’ YouTube Channel at 5:30 p.m Dublin Time.

Released in 1997, Jagged Little Pill, Live chronicles Alanis’ 1995-96 world tour supporting the album. It features on-stage performances of every song from the album, along with the rarity, “No Pressure Over Cappuccino.”

Morissette was scheduled to go on tour this year in celebration of the Jagged Little Pill anniversary as well as her new album, Such Pretty Forks in the Road, due out July 31st.
