A new docuseries about the life and career of tennis legend Andre Agassi is to arrive on Apple TV.

Directed by Emmy award winning filmmaker, Chris Smith, the new docuseries will arrive 16 years after Agassi's memoir, Open: An Autobiography, where he had admitted that he "hated" the sport.

Produced by Smith's entertainment company, Library Films, the film will also include contributions from executive producers Stacy Smith and retired tennis player, Justin Gimelstob.

Having turned professional at 16 years old, Andre Agassi reached his first Grand Slam final in 1990, winning his first title at Wimbledon in 1992. He then went on to win his first US Open title in 1994.

Agassi won his first Australian Open title in 1995, the first of four titles that he won down under. He then won a career Grand Slam in 1992, winning the French Open after coming back from two sets down. This win came after he had dropped to 141 in the world rankings 18 month earlier due to a failed drugs test and a longstanding ankle injury.

In 1996, Agassi won Olympic Gold in Atalanta.

Since he retired from the sport in 2006, Agassi has helped to raise money for children in Southern Nevada through his foundation while living in the state with his wife Steffi Graf, who won 22 Grand Slams. The pair also share children, Jaden and Jaz.

Speaking of tennis, former Wimbledon champion, Venus Williams married producer Andrea Preti last month.

The couple got married in their second wedding which took place five days in Palm Beach, Florida. Williams confirmed that she met Preti at the Gucci Show during Milan Fashion Week. Preti is an actor and producer, who spent most of his childhood in his native Denmark, before moving to Italy.

The couple got engaged last January in Tuscany, with their first wedding taking place in Ischia, Italy, according to Vogue. More on this here.
