Bon Jovi are releasing an original Christmas track, ‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’.

The festive tune which drops tomorrow (November 17), will mark the band’s first new music since their album ‘2020’, which arrived three years ago.

‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’ was recorded by ‘Livin On A Prayer’ rockers at Ocean Way Nashville Recording Studios.

The band confirmed this via social media, writing,  “We’ve got an early Christmas present for you! Our new original holiday song, ‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas,’ is out this Friday”.

Their current line up which consists of singer Jon Bon Jovi, alongside , David Bryan, Hugh McDonald, Tico Torres, Phil Xenidis, John Shanks, and Everett Bradley, also celebrated with a drink at the nearby Santa’s Pub in Nashville.

Following this, the band also shared a post offering fans a chance to pre save the track, and win one of three Bon Jovi Monopoly Games. Find out more here.

Back in 2020, Irish music legend Shane MacGowan jumped to the defence of Jon Bon Jovi, after he was heavily criticised for his cover of classic Pogues festive hit, ‘Fairytale of New York’.

“It’s Time” For A Bon Jovi Reunion

Last week, Bon Jovi founding member Richie Sambora said that “it’s time” for the band to set up a reunion.

Sambora co founded the band alongside drummer Tico Torres, keyboardist Dave Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, as well as singer Jon Bon Jovi.

“Yeah, it definitely could happen… It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It will be a big, massive kind of undertaking”, Sambora said on a possible Bon Jovi reunion.

“It’s up to people, it’s got to be right. That’s all,” he added. “It’s time to do it, though. This is our 40th anniversary, but I feel younger than ever. I’m having a ball”.
