Rosalía has revealed that Bono reached out to ask for her help with some Spanish lyrics while working on U2’s forthcoming song about her.
The Spanish star discussed the unlikely exchange during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, explaining that she and the U2 frontman have still never met in person.

Their contact came while Bono was working on ‘The Mirror Maker (Rosalía)’, the fourth track on U2’s forthcoming album Carnaval De Luz.
“I don’t know him personally, but he texted me and told me that he had this new project and this song, ‘The Mirror Maker’,” Rosalía told Fallon.
She said Bono then asked whether some of the Spanish words he had written actually made sense.

Rosalía recalled being puzzled by one in particular, saying she had “never heard this word” and eventually researched it to discover that it did not exist in standard Spanish.
Her advice to Bono was straightforward: “I don’t know, but feel free to invent your own language.”
She went on to describe the entire situation as “mind-blowing”, adding that she had grown up listening to U2 and singing a snippet of ‘With Or Without You’.
“Bono is a legend,” she said. “It’s incredible.”

The revelation comes shortly after U2 surprised Dublin with two free performances to mark the 50th anniversary of the band's formation.
On Friday, September 25, Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr returned to Mount Temple Comprehensive School, where the band first came together in 1976.
They performed for around 1,000 students and staff, revisiting the place where their journey began five decades ago.

The set included early hits such as ‘I Will Follow’ and ‘Out Of Control’, alongside ‘Beautiful Day’, ‘One’ and ‘With Or Without You’. They also performed ‘Silencio’, a new song from Carnaval De Luz, live for the first time.
Later that evening, the band took their celebrations into Dublin city centre, performing from the balcony of Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street.
Thousands of fans gathered below to watch the surprise gig, which featured songs including ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’, ‘Beautiful Day’ and ‘With Or Without You’.

The band also paid tribute to Glen Hansard with a performance of ‘Falling Slowly’, the song he co-wrote for the film Once.
The two performances gave fans a chance to celebrate U2's Dublin roots as the group marked five decades together.
