Brandon Flowers has hinted that the Killers could be set to embark on several intimate shows to mark the 20th anniversary of their ‘Hot Fuss’ album.

‘Hot Fuss’ which was the Killers’ debut album, arrived on 7 June 2004, including iconic hits such as ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘Smile Like You Mean It’, and ‘All The Things I’ve Done’.

Speaking of ‘Mr Brightside’, the track also celebrated 20 years since its own release earlier this year. In fact, Flowers even revealed that it was the first ever track that he wrote.

More on that here.

“Isn’t it crazy”

A recent interview saw Apple Music’s Zane Lowe mention to Flowers,  “20 years, isn’t it crazy?” to which Flowers replies “It is crazy. I’ve got 20 more in me”.

When asked if the band are planning release any new material in the future, Brandon Flowers hinted that some anniversary shows could be in the offing.

“We are planning maybe some anniversary shows, which I wish I could tell more so we will figure something out there”.

Lowe realised that he had the dates for these anniversary shows and added, “Oh they’re f****** here! I won’t say anything. They are small! Yo, one of those is f****** small. Dude. bro, I might have to come out for that”.

Flowers also addressed the question on the possibility of new music being on the way, “The goal for me, which we need to get everybody on the phone, is to get all four of us to make a record”.

Lowe also asked Brandon Flowers if that burning desire to make a new album still shines brightly with the other bandmates, including Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermur and Ronnie Vannucci Jr.

“I understand that touring takes it toll but making music is still fun right even for Mark and Dave,” Lowe said to Flowers. “If the chemistry is there and you’re all still the killers regardless of who shows up for work then making an album has got to be the low hanging fruit”.

“Yeah, it’s definitely time”, stated Flowers.

This comes after the Killers had announced two upcoming shows at Dublin’s 3Arena for next June. Find out more here.

The band also released very special best-of compilation album, ‘Rebel Diamonds’.
