Chatham Street is set for a festive boost this month as Flux Studios launches its first-ever Folio Arts & Crafts Christmas Market, bringing a three-day celebration of local creativity right into the heart of Dublin.
Folio is the new retail project created by Flux Studios, designed to showcase work from their community of artists and makers. Now, they’re opening their D2 studio building to the public for the very first market under the Folio name — a space dedicated to championing small businesses, emerging talent and handmade Irish craft.
The Arts & Crafts Christmas Market will run from Friday, December 12 to Sunday, December 14, opening 1pm to 8pm each day. Organisers say visitors can expect a “very festive buzz” throughout the weekend, with over 25 stalls offering a wide range of local art, crafts, vinyl and vintage. From handmade ceramics and prints to jewellery, textiles, records and retro finds, the event aims to bring together some of Dublin’s most exciting independent makers under one roof.

Located on Chatham Street, just off Grafton Street, the market is positioned as an ideal spot for anyone looking to shop local this Christmas. With gifts that are locally sourced, crafted by small businesses and sold directly by the creators themselves, the event is expected to draw strong footfall from shoppers seeking something unique, sustainable and Irish-made.
While this is Folio’s first market, Flux Studios say it marks the beginning of a new chapter for their artist community — a chance to bring studio members’ work directly to the public and build a new retail presence in the city. The Folio project itself was developed to give visibility to the work produced inside Flux, and organisers see the Christmas market as the perfect launchpad.
With extended evening hours, a central location and a curated selection of stalls, the Folio Arts & Crafts Christmas Market is shaping up to be a standout addition to Dublin’s seasonal calendar. For anyone hoping to support local makers — or simply tick off their Christmas list in one place — the three-day event promises exactly what organisers describe: “All your gifts sorted and locally sourced to boot.”
