Musicians and fans around the world are paying tribute to Chrissy Amphlett, the lead singer with Aussie rock band Divinyls, who passed away at the weekend.
Their most famous song ‘I Touch Myself’ was a top 10 hit around the world on its release in 1991, and it enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to the 1997 Austin Powers’ movie.
Chrissie lost her battle with MS and breast cancer in New York yesterday, aged 53.
@Slash tweeted to say it was “sad news” while actor @RussellCrowe, who appeared with her in the musical Blood Brothers, tweeted that the last time he saw her she was “loving life”.
