Coldplay have shared a teaser clip of a possible new single, which appears to be named: ‘First Time’.
This clip which you can check out below, was posted via the band’s Instagram account yesterday (June 7), including the caption ‘First Time’, which would suggest the name of a brand new single.
In the video, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin stands in front of the Pacific Park amusement part in Santa Monica, California, while the ferris wheel swirls, with flashing lights behind him. This all happens while the public walk on by.
Alongside a pulsating arrangement for the band, Chris Martin can be heard singing: “It feels like I’m falling in love / You’re throwing me a lifeline / Oh, now for the first time / I know we’re not alone”.
Should this prove to be the case, this would mark the first new music to be released by Coldplay since ‘Music Of The Spheres’ in 2021.

Be More Chris Martin
Last month, Coldplay singer Chris Martin received huge praise after he stopped to give a disabled fan a life to a gig in Luton.
Martin and co were on their way to perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, when they stopped to pick up a fan, Saundra Glenn.
Glenn who has who has osteoarthritis and problems in her hip, knee and ankle, also revealed she was struggling to walk to the accessibility box office at the festival’s entrance over the weekend.
The pair chatted about “all kinds of things”, including Glenn’s work in the local community in Luton.
“He said ‘It’s lovely to hear about what you do’,” Ms Glenn explained. “I said I’m 65 this summer, he said ‘You don’t look it’ and not to worry about age and just to keep doing what I’m doing”.
She also added: “He seems like a totally decent human being and I told him that… I said ‘You’re just a very nice person”. More on this from Nova here.
