Conor McGregor is building houses for homeless families in Dublin.

In an Instagram post, the MMA superstar reveals the eight properties will be used by people living in hotels in the capital.

The homes are in Santry on the city’s northside.

A spokesperson for Dublin City Council told The Herald it wasn’t aware of the development and isn’t involved in any housing development with Mr McGregor.

Meanwhile, according to Dublin Live, homeless campaigner Anthony Flynn has welcomed the news of the build but claimed that Conor McGregor needs to clarify if this is private development.

Speaking to the outlet he said: “News that Mr McGregor is building homes is welcome, as is news of any housing builds. Clarification on whether this is a private enterprise such as the likes of a vulture fund project or if these units will be a not for profit project should be clarified.”
