Dave Grohl To Help Feed LA Homeless For The Second Time

Dave Grohl is to help to feed the homeless of LA for the second time.

Last week, the Foo Fighters’ lead singer dropped into a homeless shelter in LA, and helped to cook for 450 people, after the city was struck down by a series of snow storms recently.

Several areas were hit by 30 inches of snow, in what have been described as some of the strongest storms to hit California, according to the National Weather Service.

Valley CEO Rowan Vasleve heaped the praise on Grohl, writing, “In the middle of the storms this week. This is Dave Grohl cooking over 500 servings of the best barbecue for those living in our shelters. That’s class”.

“wanted to help out”

Since then, Feed The Streets LA have now announced that Dave Grohl will help to cook for the homeless of the Skid Row and Yucca areas of the city.

The organisation have set a target of 3,500 meals a month for the homeless, who have been affected by these storms.

Sharing footage of Dave Grohl helping to prepare the food, Feed The Streets LA added the following statement.

“2023 has been off to a rocky start with the losses on 5th street. We’ve been trying to figure out ways to keep up with our activations and continue to put out 3,500 meals a month. It’s not an easy task, especially when several communities experiencing food insecurity rely on us for a decent meal five times a week. On one of those wet and cold rainy days we received a text from none other than Dave Grohl (code name: Dolce & Gabana) – he said he heard about what we were doing and wanted to help out”.

They continued,“We threw him into an upcoming activation. He spent 18 hours straight smoking brisket, ribs and pork – with a cooking crew. They stayed up all night and into the sunrise”.

“The next day Dolce and his team, exhausted and sleep deprived – packed up the food and drove it to MacArthur Park. All they had to do was drop it off and leave, however they decided to stay and work the line – serve the BBQ with our crew until everyone at the park was fed. If that ain’t a hero we don’t know wtf is”.

“Stay tuned, D & G will be back on the blocks to serve Yucca and Skid Row soon!”.

As of yet, the exact date that Grohl is to arrive in LA is unknown.
