Deep Purple Announce New Album ‘=1’

Deep Purple have announced the upcoming release of their new album, ‘=1’.

Having earlier shared an algebra related teaser clip on social media, the band have now confirmed that their 23rd studio album will arrive on July 19.

The album’s title also “symbolizes the idea that in a world growing ever more complex, everything eventually simplifies down to a single, unified essence. Everything equals one”, according to a press release.

Deep Purple have also confirmed that the first single from this album will arrive next Tuesday (April 30). It is also the first album to feature guitarist Simon McBride, who joined the band in 2022.

Deep Purple Tour

This Summer looks set to be a busy one for Deep Purple, with the band set to spend the first half of it, touring the UK and Europe.

Following that, they will merge with Yes for a North American Tour, which kicks off on August 14, in Hollywood, Flordia.

According to a press release, the band will be “shaking the walls of U.S. amphitheaters this summer with an explosive lineup of unforgettable hits taken from their repertoire of rock, spanning half a century”.
