Over the weekend, Edwyn Collins reunited with his former Orange Juice bandmates at his final Glasgow show.
The singer who announced his final UK tour earlier this year, kicked off his run of shows in Hebden Bridge on Thursday (September 25).
‘The Testimonial Tour 2025 – A Last Lap Around The UK’ saw Collins reunite on stage with former bandmates James Kirk and Steven Daly. The line up did not feature original bassist David McClymont, who lives in Australia.
Orange Juice had originally formed in 1979 in Glasgow, and went on to become a huge pioneer of the indie pop music sound of the early 1980s. Following Daly and Kirk's departures in 1982, the band saw several line up changes and released two more albums, before splitting in 1985.
This live show marked the first time the band performed on stage together for the first time since Daly and Kirk left the band in 1982. On the night, they played live renditions of ‘Felicity’, from their 1982 debut album ‘You Can’t Hide Your Love Forever’, and the 1980 single ‘Blue Boy’.

Taking to Instagram afterwards, Collins shared a series of photographs, and wrote: “To hear ‘Blueboy’ and ‘Felicity’ played by James and Steven with me in Glasgow. Just like this. First time together onstage in 44 years. Emotional". See the post in full here.
