After much anticipation, The Hoxton Hotel has officially opened its doors in the heart of Dublin and just in time for the festive season.
The franchise has taken over the site of the former Central Hotel on Exchequer Street which has been transformed into a 129-bedroom hotel brimming with character.
Think Peruvian-inspired eateries, dark and rich colours and opulent designs that mix true Hox style with modern Irish design, and without further ado, introducing The Hoxton...
Cantina Valentina, the ground-floor restaurant of the hotel, serves up vibrant and delicious Peruvian-inspired meals all day. The inspiration for the menu is to tap into the warmth of a traditional family-run picantería (family-run canteens) but with a modern twist.
That is carried through into the decor, which spans to woven-cane seating, embroidered upholstery and ceramic wall lights as well as an attention-grabbing mural from local artist Cadhla Forde, which is inspired by Rainbow Mountain in the Andes.

As for the menu itself, standout dishes include ceviche of couse, as well as croquetas, marinated beef skewers and the hearty Lima Burer.
The hotel also plays host to Dollars, which takes its cue from the famed New York deli culture. and transforms from serving up belly-filling sandwiches such as during the day, such as its Got Beef? option as well as warming soups with more elegant bites arriving on the menu as night falls, including oysters.

Hidden away below street level, Groundworks is a basement nightlife venue, a space where guests can dance the night away and the first ever Hoxton nightclub venue.
It has a capacity of 220, and the owners have been working closely with local musicians to shape the atmosphere. The design of the venue is modelled on an 'industrial' club culture with grey plaster walls and chrome metal detailing and brutalist overtones.
It's set to officially open its doors in 2026.

The much-loved landmark The Library Bar has also been restored and incorporated into The Hoxton with dark timber furnishings and traditional furniture.
Located just opposite Drury Street, this iconic hotel is situated within Dublin's creative corner, so why not pop in and see all it has to offer?
